So last month we went to Colorado Springs for a few days. I had never been there before. It was awesome though and I would totally go back.
First we went to the Seven Falls. It was gorgeous. Her Majesty actually walked up to the top of the falls (all 224 steps). It was really pretty at night when they lit it up, but for some reason, I couldn’t figure out which setting to use on my camera for it to show up right.
The next day, we went to Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. At Garden of the Gods, Her Majesty kept climbing on the rocks and scaring the crap out of me. But it was really pretty there and we had fun. Pikes Peak was less fun because I ended up getting altitude sickness. Also, it was foggy and rainy, so we didn’t have the best view.
The last day we were there, we went to the Royal Gorge Bridge. Her Majesty was not impressed with the bridge. I asked her how she could be unimpressed with the world’s highest suspension bridge. She said, “It’s just a bridge.” A lady standing near us laughed and said her kids weren’t impressed either. I asked, “Teenagers?” and she replied, “Yup.” She did have fun on the incline railway though. She wanted to ride they Skycoaster, but I said hell no to that one. We wanted to ride the aerial tram, but didn’t get around to it. There’s always next time.
I wanted to post a slideshow here, but couldn’t get it working. So if you wanna see pics, click HERE.
