So when I was ordering some stuff from Webs, I happened upon the page with Artyarns Regal Silk. How gorgeous is that stuff? The colors are awesome (I want 2 of each) and it looks so nice. It’s 100% silk, it’s gotta be nice, right? Anyways, I kept going to sites and drooling over this yarn. $22 a hank is a smidge pricey for me though.
Night before last, I dreamed I went to visit my sister. While I was there, I went to a yarn store. They had one lonely hank of Regal Silk left. I bought it and loved it. (Not that I’d become obsessed with having this yarn or anything.)
So the next day someone posts a link to a site where they had it on sale for less than $12 a hank. It’s a sign, right? I purchased 10 hanks of it. 6 in Forest, 2 in Purple Royale and 2 in Seagreen. I can’t wait until they get here.
As for the pathetic attempts…I’m trying to crochet again. It doesn’t seem like crochet should be so much harder than knitting, but it really is. It hurts my hand. I don’t know if that’s because I shouldn’t be doing crochet, or if it’s because I’m just not used to it. I know when I first started knitting I had such a death grip on the needles my hands would hurt afterwards.
But after seeing some REALLY awesome crochet stuff over on Craftster, I figured I had to give it another shot. How cool would I be if I could crochet myself a Master Shake, Pac-Man and Ghosties and a star shaped blanket.
